Recommended Reading: Why Software Requirements in the Real World are Hard

Published: 4 February 2020

While I was still working on re-building this website, I came across an article last September that I thought was worth sharing but didn't get around to posting it. Now that I have finally gotten around to it, I'm happy to see that the author has followed up the original with a Part 2 that I also think is worth recommending.

Matt Hartley is the co-founder of Healthforge and in the process of writing a 4-part series on the HackerNoon website about his experiences developing software in the healtcare industry, with a common thread throughout the articles being requirements.

The second article has a much stronger focus on requirements, but I think reading the first is also worthwhile to help set context. I have links to both articles below and hope the remaing 2 articles in the series are just as information, if not more so.

  1. Part 1: Why Software Requirements in the Real World are Hard
  2. Part 2: Developing Software Requirements, A Case Study

Enjoy!
